KineMaster is a popular video editor app for mobile devices.
Using KineMaster, you can create, edit, and share videos, with editing features like speed control, multiple layers, stickers, music, effects, and more.
However, whether you find the KineMaster interface difficult to use or find it too expensive to remove the watermark or enjoy an ad-free experience, you’re in luck.
There are many KineMaster alternatives for both Android and iOS devices.
Today, I will be exploring the 10 best KineMaster alternatives for creating and editing videos to share on social media and send to your friends.
Before I get started, do note that the prices mentioned below are subject to change, and you should always check the actual app for updated pricing information.
Let us get into it.
Best Apps Like KineMaster
1. InShot
InShot is another very popular video editing tool, and I think it’s a great alternative to KineMaster. The premium, ad-free version is much cheaper than KineMaster.
For KineMaster, you have to pay $3.99/month or $22.99/year to remove ads and the watermark. With Inshot, it only costs $2.99/month or $9.99 a year.
Also, there is the option to pay a one-time fee of $29.99 for a lifetime premium membership, something that KineMaster, unfortunately, does not have.
The InShot interface is also a bit different from KineMaster’s. Personally, I found it more fun and easier to use, though you may find it to be the other way around.
To get started with InShot, select the images you want to use in your video.
You can change the canvas, add music, add text and stickers, change the duration of how long each slide lasts, crop images, change the speed of the video, add filters, change the background, and much more.
You can also edit images directly in the app – InShot is an image editing app as well.
Instead of creating a slide, just edit the image directly – add filters, change the background, add stickers and effects, and more.
You can also quickly create collages by choosing up to nine images to include in a collage. This allows you to share several photos on social media in a single post or story.
In the InShot Shop, you can buy all kinds of cool stickers and animations to add to your images and videos.
Many of these stickers and animations are entirely free to download, so you can customize your images for free, without paying extra.
However, if you get InShot Pro, you will get access to more stickers.
All in all, InShot is a fun and easy way to create videos, edit images, and make collages for social media.
InShot is available on both Android and iOS devices.

2. VivaVideo
VivaVideo is another excellent KineMaster alternative with a cheaper premium option. It costs only $12.99 and it has a three-day free trial, as opposed to KineMaster’s $22.99/year.
However, like KineMaster, VivaVideo has an excellent free version as well. To get started, click the big orange Edit button on the home screen of the application.
I really liked that in addition to being able to select your own images from your gallery, you can also add stock images from the free library by clicking on the Stock option.
You can also upload gifs, stickers, and emojis from Giphy, as well as short clips from Eyeful.
All of these options allow you to create music videos and slideshows that combine your own images with stickers, gifs, and stock images from around the web.
Once you have selected the images and videos, you can start editing your video.
You can change the size, trim parts of the video out, split the video, speed it up, add text and stickers, add overlays, add filters, add music and sound effects, record your own audio and add it to the video, and even change the overall theme of the video (for example, one theme is Sweet Love, perfect for videos you want to send to your lover).
I didn’t like VivaVideo’s interface as much as I liked InShot’s interface, but the fact that you can add stock images and gifs, and the fact that you can choose from many wonderful themes for your videos, make up for that.
Viva Video is available in the Android and OS play stores, as well as in an APK version on their website.

3. Vimeo Create
Most people have heard of YouTube, but not as many people have heard of Vimeo. Vimeo was actually released around a year before YouTube, but it never gained the popularity and awareness that YouTube managed to get.
Nevertheless, Vimeo is an excellent site for uploading videos for all purposes, whether business or personal, and Vimeo Create is an excellent app you can use for creating videos, whether you intend to publish them publicly on Vimeo or not.
To get started, sign up with Google or with your email address.
Then, to create a video, select images from your gallery.
Like Viva Video, Vimeo Create allows you to upload stock photos and clips to the videos you are creating. However, you will have to sign up for a Pro plan for that, which costs $24.99/month (a free seven-day trial is available).
That is a lot more expensive than KineMaster, but Vimeo Create is a better option for people who want to create branded content and professional videos.
If you own a company and want to create professional branded videos, or if you want to start a Vimeo channel that looks professional, Vimeo Create is a better choice than KineMaster, which is meant more for personal use and for fun.
I also liked how you can connect your Google Photos account and upload images from there.
Sometimes, you will have photos uploaded to your Google Photos account which are not downloaded to your phone’s gallery, so this option can be very useful.
Once you have chosen the images or videos you want to use for your new video, choose a Style. Styles include memories, Valentine, rainbow, and more.
For example, if you choose rainbow, there will be rainbow slide-ins in between each image you upload.
Then, choose your music. There are tons of music options to choose from.
The process is very quick and simple. After you have chosen your images, style, and music, the app will create the video for you automatically.
It can take a minute or so until the video is created, but I found the end video to look very professional.
If you have a free Vimeo Create account, however, it will show the Vimeo watermark.
Once you are satisfied with your video, you can download it to your phone. This can take some time as well, as the application will work on creating an HD high-resolution version of your video.
You can then download the video straight to your phone – you can download it in up to 1080p, even if you have the free version of the app.
That is something you won’t get with many other video editing apps.
Also, you can automatically publish the video across your social media accounts, without even downloading it to your phone.
Just click the Publish button.
I do want to make it clear that your video will be automatically published to Vimeo. However, by default, privacy settings will be set to Only Me, so nobody else will be able to see it.
If you want to share a Vimeo video link with your friends, click the Settings options in the video drop-down menu and change the Privacy to Public.
Vimeo Create is a great way to share videos with friends without forcing them to download videos via Whatsapp or Telegram, which can take up space and mobile data.
Instead, just set the video’s link to Public and share the link with them so they can view the video on Vimeo.
Vimeo Create is available on their desktop website, the Google Play Store, and the Apple Play Store.

4. WeVideo
WeVideo has a very simple interface that is easy to use. As soon as you open the app, click the green plus button in the bottom right of the screen.
Then, click the blue plus button in the bottom right of the screen to upload photos or videos from your phone’s gallery or from Google Drive.
You can also take photos and videos right then and there with your phone’s camera.
You can add music from the library or add audio. However, most music is only available to premium users.
The premium plan, however, is much cheaper than KineMaster’s free plan.
The Mobile Pass plan, which gives you access to more music and themes and also removes all WeVideo watermarks for your video, costs only $3.99 for a full year.
However, the Mobile Pass plan is only good for those who wish to continue using WeVideo only on their phones.
If you want to use the desktop video editing features as well, with exclusive web features, you will have to sign up for a Power Plan membership, which costs $9.99/month or $59.99/year.
More expensive plans are also available. For example, you can upgrade to get full access to over one million stock media, including tracks, clips, and stock photos.
Choose WeVideo instead of KineMaster if you want to be able to store your edits in the cloud and use the app on more than one device.
WeVideo is available on Google Play, Apple Play, and the Chrome Web Store.

5. FilmoraGo (Android/iOS)
FilmoraGo is another video editing app that is fairly easy to use. To get started, simply click on New Project and select photos and videos from your device.
You can also choose blank backgrounds under the Other tab at the top of the screen.
Once you have selected your images and videos, you can start editing your video. I really liked the editing area; I found it somewhat similar to KineMaster but easier to use.
You can trim the video, add filters, music, text, or stickers. You can also change the canvas or add effects.
Changing the speed and various other edits are also available.
One reason I like FilmoraGo over KineMaster is that you don’t even need to sign up for a premium plan to remove the Filmora watermark. Instead, you can remove the watermark simply by watching a video ad.
As such, it’s a great way to create watermark-free videos without paying anything. To remove the watermark, click on Customize Watermark.
However, keep in mind that you can only remove a watermark for free once every 24 hours. In other words, you can’t watch an ad to remove a watermark more than once in 24 hours.
The yearly membership price for the premium plan is $19.90, and the lifetime membership plan is $29.90, making FilmoraGo somewhat cheaper than KineMaster.
FilmoraGo is available on the Google Play Store and the Android iOS Store.

6. VMX
VMX is an awesome alternative to KineMaster that makes it easy to add text, animations, and glitches to your videos.
It’s relatively easy to use – to get started, click the Plus button in the middle of the screen.
Select images from your gallery and then choose the canvas size. Then, click the Create button to be taken to the editing screen.
In addition to adding your own photos and videos, you can import stock photos from Pixabay.
You will be able to add audio and text. You can choose between different fonts, shapes, and colors.
You can add stickers, overlays, a title, a voiceover, and a lot more. Click on the Glitch option to do things like add pixelation effects.
Not all Glitch options will be available to you as a free user, but many more will be available if you upgrade to a Pro membership.
Fortunately, VMX Pro is a lot cheaper than KineMaster. It costs only $1.99/month or $11.99/year, making it one of the cheapest pro video editing options.
You can also choose the lifetime membership for $29.99, which will help you save money in the long run.
VMX Editor is available for both Android and iOS devices.

7. Videoshop
Videoshop is a simple to use video creator and editor. Click on Import Video on the app’s home screen to import videos and photos.
Then, you will be able to edit each slide by itself.
You can add all kinds of text, add music, add transitions, change the speed of the video, and much more.
If you are using Videoshop on an iPhone, you will even be able to import videos from Apple Music.
If you have the Pro version, you will be able to do even more stuff, like add reverse effects and add voice recordings.
The Pro version costs $3.99/month, but you can save money by getting the lifetime version for $39.99. Again, a lifetime version is one thing that KineMaster is lacking.
In addition, I found Videoshop to be incredibly easy to use.
I’m not saying that Kinemaster is complicated, but the layout on Videoshop is a bit more intuitive and simple for non-technical people, in my experience and opinion.
Videoshop is available for both Android and iOS devices.
8. Quik
To get started with Quik, open the app and click the button to create a new video. You can upload images from your gallery, from Google Photos, your SD card, and even your GoPro Plus cloud media library.
That last option is what makes Quik such a great alternative to Kinemaster if you want to edit videos you took on your GoPro.
Whether you are biking, hiking, motorcycling, or traveling, if you want to edit your GoPro videos and upload them to social media or share them with your friends, Quik will make everything much easier for you compared to Kinemaster.
Quik was actually created by GoPro.
I also liked how you can add a video introduction right from the start, quickly and easily.
Also, Quik will automatically create several versions of the video for you, complete with special effects and music.
Just choose the style you like and you can download it.
For example, some styles I saw were Grammy, Action, Boxed, Lapse, and Slice. These are all different video styles with different transition styles and different music.
You can choose different music tracks as well, or you can do things like changing the duration of the video, when the music starts, and adding a filter.
Quik lives up to its name: You can create beautiful video collages and slideshows very “quickly.”
You get several pre-made versions, so all you really have to do is choose which images to include, add some video intro text, choose the style, and bam, you have a professional-looking video with transitions and music ready to share.
Once you have saved a video, you can create a duplicate so you can edit the duplicate even further.
You can download your video to your device or share a link to the video, which is stored for seven days in the cloud.
Also, you can quickly share it to your Instagram story by clicking the Instagram Story button.
I also loved how you can save videos in 1080p and even 60 FPS.
Why use Quik as an alternative to Kinemaster? Here are the top reasons:
- It is entirely free to use.
- It is made by GoPro, for GoPro users, with the ability to import images and videos from GoPro Cloud.
- It allows you to make videos with professional-looking transitions and music very quickly, without much work, and without needing much video editing experience.
- You can store your videos in the cloud for seven days and share a link to a video with your friends.
9. Vinkle
Vinkle is a video editor app with more than 1,000 templates you can use to create amazing videos.
To get started, create an account by signing up with Google, Facebook, or email.
Then, choose a template and choose the images you want to import. The app will take your images and make a video collage, with beautiful transitions and music, exactly as in the template.
You can then save the video to your phone or share it on social media. You can even get a link to the video to share.
If you want a huge selection of templates and an app that will automatically apply those templates, along with transitions, effects, and music to your own video, then Vinkle is a great alternative to Kinemaster.
The only downside of Vinkle is that it has a lot of ads, which can be annoying.
Also, they push their premium version, which costs $59.99/year, excessively, which is also annoying.
Otherwise, it is a really cool app you can use to create awesome videos.
Another cool feature of Vinkle is the ability to remove backgrounds and insert a standard background like a green screen behind you.
Vinkle is available on Android and iOS.
10. Vieka (Android/iOS)
Vieka is another great Kinemaster alternative that comes with an amazing selection of video templates you can use to create videos.
To get started, choose up to 30 images or videos from your gallery.
Then, choose from one of the templates at the bottom of the screen. All of these templates have different transitions, effects, and music, and they all look great.
Vieka is much easier to use than Vinkle, so if Vinkle’s ads annoy you, choose Vieka. It is also easier to quickly create awesome videos with Vieka than Kinemaster.
For HD Resolution, watch a video ad or sign up for the premium plan for $4.99/month.
Wrapping It Up: What Is The Best KineMaster Alternative?
I would recommend InShot for editing videos and images, but all of these options are good.
In particular, Vieka and Quik are great for creating music videos from your uploaded images without doing much of the work yourself.
However, InShot still gives you more options in terms of editing your videos, making it more like Kinemaster, just cheaper.
